The mission was to transport Family Meyers new Malö 40 to the Boatshow in Southampton. Bengt Meyer wanted to be part of the journey himself and picked two well experienced crew members to go with him. The original plan was to go straight from Kungsviken to Southampton, but due to bad weather they had to reroute the trip. The weather forcast was for 10m/s.... but the true weather was something else. The first emergency harbour was Vrångö in Sweden... Instead of going outside Denmark as planned, they had to go through Öresund down to Kiel channel and through. Thereafter to Ijmuijden. Then the channel to Vlissingen. Over to Brighton and Lymington.
